Welome To The Grange Playhouse Website

The Playhouse is the home of the Grange Players, a non-profit-making organisation registered as a charity. We like to think of the property as ours but, in fact, the building is leased from Walsall MBC to whom we pay an annual rent.

Since our formation in 1951 it has been the company’s aim to encourage the local community’s interest in drama and the theatre through productions that have entertained and stimulated our audiences. We also feel that we fulfil a social function both for our members and those who come to see our performances.

Our Patron is the actor, Jeffrey Holland, a Walsall man who appeared here before turning professional and finding fame on both stage and television.

The Grange Players are members of the Little Theatre Guild of Great Britain and are affiliated to NODA (National Operatic and Dramatic Association).

For a number of years the Grange Playhouse has also been the principal venue of the Fellowship Players who hire the theatre to present several plays each season.
